Silicon molybdenum rod is a resistance heating element based on molybdenum disilicide. It is heated to high temperature in an oxidizing atmosphere, and a dense quartz glass film is formed on the surface to protect it from oxidation. Therefore, it has unique high-temperature antioxidant properties. In an oxidizing atmosphere, its maximum temperature can reach 1800 ℃, and its applicable temperature is 500-1700 ℃. It can be used as a heating element for high-temperature furnaces such as ceramics, magnetic materials, glass, metallurgy, refractory materials, etc.


The mechanical properties of molybdenum disilicide electric heating elements, like other ceramic products, are brittle materials that are prone to fracture at room temperature, which brings certain difficulties to transportation and installation. However, as long as they are installed reasonably and used properly, they can be avoided. The silicon molybdenum rods produced by our factory adopt a new cold end production process, which has excellent hot cold end resistance ratio, energy conservation, long service life, and avoids damage to the furnace body caused by high cold end temperature.
